1)  What year did Matt McKay retire from the Brisbane Roar?

d) 2019

A two-time Gary Wilkins Medal Winner, proud Queenslander Matt McKay made his debut for the Roar in its first ever Hyundai A-League fixture on August 28, 2005.

The inspirational midfielder famously lifted the Roar’s first Hyundai A-League Championship as Club Captain in 2011 before being an integral part of the Roar’s Championship & Premiership winning season in 2013-14.

He currently sits fourth on the Club’s all-time goal scoring charts with 26 goals to his name.

2) What year did the Queensland Roar change to the Brisbane Roar?

d) 2009

The Brisbane Roar was known as the Queensland Roar when they began playing at Suncorp Stadium. But did you know that they had other names before that?

The club has a shared history with Queensland Lions F.C which was known previously as the Brisbane Lions F.C. (a name that was changed when the AFL Brisbane Bears merged with the Fitzroy Lions) and before this had been known as Hollandia-Inala F.C. since its inception in 1957.

This makes the Roar technically the OLDEST team in the A-League!

3) Who is the all-time leading point scorer for the Brisbane Broncos?

b) Corey Parker

Did you know Corey scored a total of 1328 points for the Brisbane Broncos! Corey Parker is a name synonmous with the Broncos and his record 10 for 10 goal kicking in 2008 shows how his effectiveness with the boot helped him amass his point scoring title.
