ASM Global has been closely following the federal and state governments’ management of the COVID-19 outbreak, and takes seriously our responsibility for the health and well-being of our patrons, clients and employees coming to Suncorp Stadium.
Following the initial announcement by the Prime Minister on Friday afternoon, we are making contact with the promoters of concerts / organisers of events in Suncorp Stadium to discuss the potential to reschedule those events that will be affected by the advice to not proceed with events expecting to attract more than 500 people.
Whilst we have been anticipating a variety of scenarios, it will take some time to resolve the arrangements for each event.
It is our intent to be able to advise patrons expecting to attend such events of the new arrangements as quickly as possible. This will be done via our web site, through notification directly to ticket holders, for ticketed events and via organisers of events for which they have the patron contact details.
Should a ticketed event be cancelled altogether, refunds will be automatically made, directly to the original payment account. All ticket sales proceeds are held securely by Suncorp Stadium and are available for return to Ticketek to enable the refunds.
Due to the number of events affected and consequently the numbers of patrons involved, we would appreciate your patience in not calling us or Ticketek, and look out for the information to appear on our web site, through our social media channels or for an email from us.
In response to the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) Suncorp Stadium has put in place all steps and precautions throughout the venue as recommended by the Australian Government Department for Health, to help ensure the safety of our visitors and team members. This includes:
Placing additional hand sanitisers with supporting signage
Placing guidance on hand washing in bathrooms
Thorough and regular sterilisation of surfaces, including bathrooms, benches, ATM machines and all touch points such as door handles, escalator rails, lift buttons etc.
Initiated heightened sanitation programs to limit the potential transfer of any viral material
Continued rigorous adherence to ISO and HACCP food safety management standards within all catering services
