Light up Red for National Volunteer Week

National Volunteer Week 18-24 May

This week is National Volunteer Week. National Volunteer Week is the largest celebration of volunteers in Australia. It provides an opportunity to highlight the role of volunteers in society and say thank you to all volunteers.

Tonight, Wednesday 20th May, in support of National Volunteer Week, Suncorp Stadium will light up red - the international colour for volunteering.

National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration to recognise the inspiring contribution of more than 714,000 Queenslanders.

Volunteers give their time selflessly to help others and make a difference.

Volunteers are our rural firefighters, surf lifesavers, animal carers, lifeline operators, baby cuddlers, protectors of our parks and waterways, tutors of young people, social companions for those in need, our sports coaches, and thousands of other roles that are Changing Communities. Changing Lives.
