One of the world’s most successful pop and adult contemporary singers, Phil Collins is set to unleash more than four decades of rock hits on Brisbane, when he brings his “Not Dead Yet” tour to Suncorp Stadium on Saturday 19th January, 2019.
The legendary singer, songwriter and drummer has released eight studio albums that have sold an estimated 150 million worldwide, making him one of the world’s best-selling artists.
Suncorp Stadium General Manager, Alan Graham said the English artist would be the latest in a string of high profile acts visiting the state over the next few months, including Celine Dion, Katy Perry, Pink, Cher, Shania Twain and Bon Jovi.
“This is our 23rd concert since 2006, and wonderful news for our state, with major events such as this providing a significant boost to local jobs and businesses.
“The earth shattering drum solo from In the Air Tonight is truly legendary and other hits like You Can't Hurry Love, Sussudio and Another Day in Paradise or any of the Genesis classics will surely lure in strong crowds.
“It’s very clear that Brisbane is capable of hosting the biggest and best artists in the world and these concerts are a huge benefit to our state, injecting tens of millions of dollars into the city’s tourism economy,” Mr. Graham said.
The concert will be held under regulatory guidelines which include measures to manage noise, lighting, traffic, transport, parking and crowd behaviour to minimise the impact on local residents.
