Suncorp Stadium's Return of Fans
Suncorp Stadium’s plan to return fans to the venue has been approved by the Queensland Health Authorities.
The plan incorporates:
Current social distancing practices;
Increased hand sanitiser availability for patrons and staff;
Socially distanced seating for patrons;
Frequent environmental cleaning and disinfectant and;
Establishment of zones to assist with social distancing and reducing congestion
Zones within the stadium will allow patrons to access bathrooms and food vendors without having to move around the Stadium reducing the amount of congestion and helping with any contact tracing should it be required.
In preparing their COVID-19 Safety plan, Suncorp Stadium has taken into account the guidance provided by the Queensland Government and Health Authorities.
Alan Graham General Manager of Suncorp Stadium said – “It’s great to see fans coming back to the footy at Suncorp Stadium. We’ve worked really hard on our plan to safely bring back patrons to watch events live at our Venue.
We’re really looking for the patrons who are attending to help us out by following directives of Stadium staff and buying-in to our COVID-19 Safety Plan procedures.
Small things like maintaining social distancing between groups, hand-hygiene and sitting only in the seats allocated to you are huge steps in helping us to provide a safe environment for everyone.”
Suncorp Stadium is managed by ASM Global (ASMG) on behalf of Stadiums Queensland allowing them to draw on VenueShield, the global program developed exclusively by ASMG to prepare its customised comprehensive plan for the reopening of the Stadium.
The first game with fans at Suncorp Stadium will be on Saturday June 20 when the Gold Coast Titans host the St George Illawarra Dragons in the NRL Telstra Premiership. Event Info here.
We are also asking all of our visitors to read and work with our Visitor Buy-In template.
Suncorp Stadium Visitor Buy-In
It’s great to welcome back fans to the Stadium. We’ve been working hard to put measures in place to ensure events are as safe as possible. To a certain degree, these measures will only work if everyone buys in.
To make the Stadium the safest it can be for you and others, we are asking you to play a role. We need you to:
Maintain social distancing of 1.5m with people outside of my immediate group
Only use the seat that has been designated to you
Cooperate with Suncorp Stadium Staff directives
Be aware that cashless payments only will be in use for food and beverage
Practice high-level hand-hygiene using the sanitiser stations installed in the Stadium
Stay home if you have been feeling unwell or showing symptoms of COVID-19 or been in contact with someone who has felt unwell in the past 2 weeks
Remain within the zone allocated on your ticket
Only leave the stadium when your zone is called to assist with an orderly exit
By attending Suncorp Stadium you acknowledge your role in helping to successfully carry out the COVID-19 Safety Plan.
For further safety precautions we also encourage the download and use of the Australian Government’s COVID-Safe app. More info can be found here.
By playing your part, you will help ensure we all enjoy a comfortable and safe experience at Suncorp Stadium and continue to see the benefits of fans returning to live events.
