SIX OF THE BEST - WALLABIES v SPRINGBOKS

If history teaches us anything Saturday’s Test match between the Wallabies and Springboks at Suncorp Stadium should provide some fireworks. Here’s Six of the Best controversies from clashes involving the two rugby rivals.
1. Premier Joh declaring a state of emergency to ensure anti-apartheid protestors didn’t disrupt the Brisbane Test in 1971.
2.  Wallaby halfback Matt Henjak sent home from South Africa in 2005 after throwing ice at a patron in a Cape Town nightclub.
3. Wendell Sailor sent home by the Waratahs in 2006 after shoving a patron and throwing up in a pot plant outside a nightclub in Cape Town.
4. Wallaby coach Eddie Jones nicknamed ‘Eddie Moans’ after labelling the Springboks a “disgrace” and accusing South African forward Bakkies Botha of biting Brendan Cannon in the 2003 Test at Suncorp Stadium.
5. Drunken spectator knocks himself out and is ejected from Suncorp Stadium after diving at Springbok kicker Louis Koen during the South Africa-Samoa 2003 Rugby World Cup match.
6. Springboks crash to record 49-nil loss to Wallabies at Suncorp Stadium in 2006.
