Suncorp Stadium Lifesaving Staff!

A special shoutout to the Suncorp Stadium staff members Deb and Errol who have this week received a Beyond Expectations Award from the venue for going above and beyond during a Dolphins NRL game last year.

When Stand Manager Deb found patron Doug suffering a heart attack during the Dolphins v Melbourne Storm game, she alerted Emergency Services and nearby staff member Errol.

Having recently completed a refresher in his first aid course, Errol began CPR with Security Officer Adel from Certis Security until Emergency Services could attend.

While the outlook did not look good, Doug has pulled through and this week came into the Stadium to meet his lifesavers. The quick actions of the team and coordinated response with Emergency Services undoubtedly saved Doug’s life.

Well done to the staff and training they have received to work together with multiple parties for an incredible outcome.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Doug back to a Dolphins game in the near future when he is feeling up to it again!
