Steve Ricketts

Steve Ricketts dedicated most of his 41 year career as a newspaper journalist to covering Rugby League. He covered NRL, State of Origin, Queensland Cup and international matches both at home and abroad. After retiring in 2012, Steve maintained his interest in Rugby League mentoring the next generation of writers and documenting the history of the game in Queensland.


Inducted on March 5 2014 by the Hon. Steve Dickson, Minister for Sport.
