Our Origin Heroes
A total of 228 players have represented Queensland in State of Origin since the competition commenced in 1980.
Former Origin Greats (FOGS) in conjunction with Suncorp Stadium management, have created a “State of Origin Walk of Fame” on the Northern Plaza (Caxton Street) end. Every player who has worn the Queensland maroon jersey in Origin has a plaque showing the number of games played, the years played and their Queensland playing number (in chronological order).
Pictured is the plaque for Wally Lewis, regarded by most as the greatest player to have ever represented Queensland.
