As the 2025 rugby league season draws to a close at Suncorp Stadium, it’s time to celebrate a remarkable year filled with epic battles, record crowds, and historic moments for the Brisbane Broncos, Dolphins, and the National Rugby League (NRL).

This year, over 1 million patrons cheered from the Suncorp Stadium stands across a packed schedule of rugby league events:

  • 12 Brisbane Broncos NRL home games
  • 9 Dolphins NRL home games
  • 8 NRL Magic Round games
  • Brisbane Broncos NRLW home game (and a trial game)
  • Women's Ampol State of Origin Game One
  • Men's Ampol State of Origin Game One
  • 2 NRL Preliminary Finals featuring the Brisbane Broncos NRL and NRLW teams. 
  • 2 NRL Pacific Championship games

Dolphins Memorable Good Friday Win - 18 April 2025

The Dolphins delivered an impressive performance, defeating the Melbourne Storm 42-22 in a thrilling Good Friday match.


Ampol Women’s State of Origin Game One - 1 May 2025

On the eve of Magic Round, we hosted Game 1 of the Ampol Women’s State of Origin series. NSW Blues triumphed over Queensland Maroons 32-12 in front of a record-breaking Women's Origin crowd of 26,022.


NRL Magic Round - 2-4 May 2025

Once again, Suncorp Stadium transformed into rugby league’s epicenter, with 16 teams playing over the weekend. Fans flooded ‘The Cauldron’ for eight exhilarating matches across three days, creating an unforgettable atmosphere and showcasing the best of the sport.


Ampol Men's State of Origin Game One - 28 May 2025

Suncorp Stadium hosted the first game of the Men's State of Origin series, where the NSW Blues defeated Queensland 18-6 in front of 52,483 passionate fans. Despite the result, the electrifying atmosphere made it a night to remember, filled with Maroon pride and passion.


Historic Double Event Day - 28 June 2025

On Saturday, 28 June, Suncorp Stadium pulled off a historic first - hosting two separate NRL home games in a single day! The Broncos defeated the New Zealand Warriors 26-12 in the first match, followed by a dominant Dolphins performance, beating South Sydney Rabbitohs 50-28. Over 1,500 staff worked quickly  to reset the stadium between games, marking a remarkable logistical achievement.


Brisbane Broncos Indigenous Round Double-header - 16 August 2025

The Broncos celebrated their Deadly Choices Indigenous Round with a NRLW and NRL Double-header. The NRLW team opened the day with a commanding 38-4 victory over Parramatta Eels, and Ali Briggenshaw made history as the first player in NRLW history to reach 50 career games. Later, the men's team added to the festivities with a fierce battle, defeating the Dolphins 38-28 in the iconic ‘Battle for Brisbane.’


Broncos Final Round Epic - 4 September 2025

Right before the NRL Finals Series, the Broncos secured a crucial 30-14 win over the Melbourne Storm in the last round of the regular season at Suncorp Stadium.


Brisbane Broncos’ Preliminary Finals Double Header - 28 September 2025

The Broncos reached the pinnacle of the season with a Double-header featuring both NRL and NRLW teams. The NRLW side delivered a commanding 30-6 victory over the Newcastle Knights, earning a spot in the Grand Final. Later, the men's team narrowly defeated Penrith 16-14 in front of a sold-out crowd of 52,492, creating an atmosphere that will be remembered for years to come.

Congratulations to the Brisbane Broncos NRLW and NRL teams who carried their winning streaks to Grand Final victories, capping off a historic season for the club.


Pacific Championships - 26 October 2025

The 2025 Pacific Championships celebrated Pasifika talent, with the Australian Jillaroos convincingly defeating Fetu Samoa 60-0 in the opening match. The men's game was equally electrifying, with Toa Samoa defeating Tonga XIII 34-6. Despite a storm delay, the crowd of 44,682 was electric, showcasing pride and celebration of rugby league and Pacific culture.
