Neurodiversity Celebration Week (17-23 March) is a global initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences.
This week also marks the start of Aspect's (Autism Spectrum Australia) World Austism Understanding Day 2025 campaign, designed to change perceptions and dispel myths about autism to create a more inclusive Australia.
Suncorp Stadium is committed to spreading awareness and creating more inclusive world-class experiences that understands and champions neurodiversity in all its forms.
Sunflower Program
The Stadiums Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program is a globally recognised symbol for non-visible disabilities, also known as hidden disabilities. Patrons may choose to wear a green lanyard throughout an event to discreetly identify to venue staff that they may need extra help, time or guidance. If patrons need additional assistance, they can approach one of the staff who have a white Sunflower lanyard or pin. A free lanyard can also be collected from staff at the information stands, Quiet Room and corporate entrances.
Quiet Room
Our Quiet Room, created with the help of Aspect - Autism Spectrum Australia, is a quiet space for anyone who needs to take a break from the sensory or social environment. The Quiet Room is located on Level 3 at the Southern Milton Road end of the Stadium, inside Gate A, and is open from Gates until 30 minutes after the conclusion of the event.
Hearing Assistance and Auslan
Suncorp Stadium also has hearing assistance in the form of an audio loop throughout the venue for sporting events. At some concerts at Suncorp Stadium there will be an Auslan Interpreter.
