Caxton Street Closure

Closed From10:00am Friday 2 May
Reopen From
3:00am Monday 5 May

The NRL has once again gained Brisbane City Council approval to expand the Magic Round event footprint onto a section of Caxton Street.

To accommodate this there will be a road closure in place from Friday May 2 at 10.00am until Monday May 5 at 3.00am on Caxton Street, between Petrie Terrace and Hale Street.

This Caxton Street closure is separate and in addition to the Stadium’s Traffic Management Plan which will be in place for the Magic Round event days.

The road closure has been structured in a way to minimise the impact on local residents and businesses. Other than the standard closures implemented by Queensland Police for the safe movement of pedestrians in peak times around the event, residents in the streets around Caxton Street will still have access to their properties throughout the three days.

The NRL will have a hotline to field enquiries about the road closure operating during business hours in the lead up to the event - (02) 9359 8500.

Alternatively you can provide feedback regarding the Caxton Street Road Closure to feedback@nrl.com.au.

The NRL has also setup the below page with further information on the Caxton Street Road Closure which includes a map of the area affected and traffic diversions which will be in place.
